He received his bachelor's degree from Colby College in 1979, and went on to a postgraduate program in sciences at New York University. After receiving his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1985, Dr. Cutolo completed postgraduate training at Staten Island University Hospital and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He completed his fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, VA Medical Center.
Dr. Cutolo has full operating privileges at Lutheran Medical Center, Long Island College Hospital/SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Richmond University Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital.
