Connecticut & New York Plastic Surgeon, Salvatore A. Farruggio, MD, FACS

Dr. Farruggio graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School on Staten Island in New York before attending Villanova University where in 1983, he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science/Biology degree. While at Villanova, he was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society, as well as the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

In 1984, Dr. Farruggio attended New York Medical College in Valhalla, where in 1988 he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. For the next five years, he performed his General Surgery Residency at the Westchester County Medical Center, also in Valhalla. He then completed his training in plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma, ultimately fulfilling his plastic surgery fellowship - including cosmetic surgery training - at New York City's Lenox Hospital.

Dr. Farruggio is licensed in the states of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, and is a member of the American Medical Association, as well as the New York Medical College Surgical Society. Additionally, the board certified plastic surgeon is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
