About Dr. Galante

Dr. Galante was raised in Northwest Indiana, graduating from Wabash College summa cum laude. Years later, with his medical education and training complete, he returned to the area to open his practice. "Family is very important to me," he said. "Much of my family is in this area and my wife's family is as well."

Dr. Galante chose to pursue medicine as a way to combine his love for the humanities and science. He attended Indiana University School of Medicine and was elected a member of the exclusive Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in recognition of his academic record. He served his general surgery residency and completed his plastic surgery residency at the Loyola University Medical Center near Chicago, then elected to undertake further fellowship training in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery in Nashville, Tennessee at the Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.

When asked what sets his Indiana plastic surgery practice apart from others, Dr. Galante was quick to say, "My patients." He explained, "My staff and I work with real people with normal busy lives, individuals with careers and/or families. They tend to be exceptionally down-to-earth, nice people. The interesting thing is, since we are a highly referral-based practice, our patients themselves have been instrumental in developing our wonderful clientele over the years. My staff and I feel privileged to work with such a nice group of people."

Dr. Galante regularly speaks on plastic surgery topics to lay and medical audiences. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Ohio Valley Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Galante is active in his community. He and his family donate time to charitable projects and local community organizations.
