Dr. James N. Romanelli believes that every patient requires a unique blend of artistry and scientific precision to achieve their optimum cosmetic beauty. He settles for nothing short of excellence, and has achieved a high level of respect in the New York surgical community. At his Long Island plastic surgery office, Dr. Romanelli specializes in breast surgery, including breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, and breast reconstruction, but also offers a complete range of cosmetic surgery enhancements, including liposuction and abdominoplasty.

So that he can offer every patient an extraordinary cosmetic surgery experience, Dr. Romanelli has retained an exceptional team of medical professionals at Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Romanelli performs cosmetic surgery at his office surgical facility, which is authorized by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities to administer all levels of anesthesia. A board-certified physician anesthesiologist performs all anesthesia services. In addition, Dr. Romanelli's team of nurses, skilled and experienced in the art of patient care and safety, work to ensure that every procedure is a success. "I've lost count of the number of patients who have said they were blown away by how much care and individual attention they received, and without my surgical staff such glowing reviews just wouldn't be possible," says Dr. Romanelli.

But patient care is only one part of the equation. In addition, Dr. Romanelli and his practice staff seek excellent surgical outcomes. With almost 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. Romanelli is well versed in the art of beautiful breast surgery. He complements this experience by staying up to date on the latest in implant technologies and surgical techniques, paying particular attention to innovations that decrease recovery time and increase patient comfort.

After training in some of the nation's leading hospitals, Dr. Romanelli decided to return home to Long Island to offer cosmetic surgery procedures to his New York patients. Dr. Romanelli believes that to be a successful surgeon, he needs to remain inspired, and practicing on Long Island keeps him happy and energized. "I really love the combination of the big city and the coastal lifestyle," says Dr. Romanelli. "The whole world is at your fingertips, and I see so many interesting patients from all walks of life. The women who come in to my surgical office for a breast augmentation consult have the most wonderful personal stories, and my goal is to give them an amazing look so they can feel confident in their lives."

Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery is located in Huntington, New York, about an hour's drive from New York City, and close to many other Long Island towns. New York City residents can reach the office by taking the Long Island Expressway or via the Long Island Railroad. Dr. Romanelli's plastic surgery suites are fully accredited and equipped to provide patients the option to stay overnight, monitored by a private duty nurse.

About New York Plastic Surgeon Dr. Romanelli

Early in life, Dr. Romanelli discovered his artistic side, and was particularly attracted to sculpture. He also had a strong desire to make a difference in people's lives and improve the way they feel. In college, he decided to combine these two passions in a career as a plastic surgeon. After graduating with honors from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Romanelli attended the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, where he received a thorough medical education and began to refine his surgical techniques. After earning his Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Romanelli completed eight years of post-graduate specialty training before receiving his board certification in surgery.

Dr. Romanelli trained at Staten Island University Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he learned plastic surgery techniques under the guidance of the two inventors of the modern breast implant. Dr. Romanelli's training included general surgical rotations as well as in-depth experience performing silicone and saline breast implant surgeries, breast reconstruction, and tummy tuck surgery.

Dr. Romanelli returned home to Long Island in 1990, quickly establishing himself as a respected plastic surgeon in the New York cosmetic surgery community. "I believe that every surgical procedure is special, and requires its own blend of art and science to achieve an elegant, natural-looking outcome," says Dr. Romanelli. During every consultation, Dr. Romanelli discusses with his Long Island breast augmentation patients how his experience and training enable him to offer beautiful surgical results.

Since he has gained almost 20 years of experience with breast enhancement procedures, many of Dr. Romanelli's patients come to him for an expert breast surgery result. Dr. Romanelli had experience with silicone implants prior to the 1992 voluntary moratorium, has participated in three FDA-approved silicone gel implant studies, and now offers a range of cohesive silicone gel implant options for Long Island breast augmentation patients.
