Plastic surgery is a unique medical specialty combining precise technical surgical skills and decision making with an artists eye. Our goal is to provide excellent surgical results in a personal, comfortable setting.
My approach is to take the time to listen to and understand my patient's goals and supply accurate, up to date information as to how to achieve those goals. Alternatively, it is my responsibility to inform the patient if I don't believe those goals can be safely accomplished.
I have always felt that the best source of new patient referrals is word of mouth. For this reason I do not advertise heavily as is customary with many plastic surgeons. A happy patient will tell two people they are pleased; an unhappy patient will tell ten they are displeased. To this end, I am a perfectionist and have many happy patients. Dr Yates was born and raised in Davis County. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Utah. Graduating at the top of his class he had the distinct opportunity to pursue his training in Plastic Surgery directly out of medical school. During his six years of postgraduate training at the University of Missouri - Columbia, he was fortunate to have been trained by a former president of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (our most prestigious society). Here, he received a broad experience in all aspects of Plastic Surgery including cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, microsurgery and hand surgery.
Dr. Yates' office is within Tanner Clinic. It is located about a block from the I-15 Exit 335 on Antelope Drive in Layton. It is located on Robin's Drive at 2121 North 1700 West just west of the Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
