A graduate of Bishop Gorman Preparatory School, just outside of Las Vegas, in Summerlin, Nevada, Dr. Cambeiro later graduated from the University of Southern California's, Psychobiology Honors Program. He then received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Colorado, where as the most promising surgeon in his medical class, he received the Owens-Swan award. At that time, U.S. News and World Report had named the University of Colorado one of the top four clinical medical schools in the U.S. Preceding Dr. Cambeiro's general surgery residency, where he received five years of training at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program in general and vascular/trauma surgery (serving as Chief Surgery Resident and scoring in the 99th percentile in the nation on his American Board of Surgery in-service examinations), he traveled abroad to Honduras to perform missionary work as a general surgeon at medical clinics there. The Las Vegas plastic surgeon continued his education in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery at the highly respected Mayo Clinic. There, he worked with Global Health Outreach, donating his surgical skills to Vietnamese children living with congenital facial defects. Today, Dr. Cambeiro is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
