Dr. John Grossman has made a profound impact on the lives of his patients for over 25 years. His artistry and commitment to individualized success for patients have earned him a reputation as one of the nation's premier aesthetic plastic surgeons. He is often referred to as a "plastic surgeon to the stars."
He attended the prestigious Cornell University Medical College in New York City, and completed his surgical residency in Boston at Harvard Medical School. After completing his plastic surgery residency at the University of Colorado, he opened his private practice in Denver, Colorado in 1975 and in Beverly Hills, California in 1984.
Dr. Grossman is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Lipoplasty Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. In addition, he remains actively involved with numerous other professional organizations and hospital appointments.
Dr. Grossman has earned great respect publicly. He has been spotlighted nationally as a guest speaker on CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC television. And, he currently serves as an expert medical source for ABC News. Dr. Grossman lectures extensively and has authored a book and many articles for both professional and lay publications. He was recognized in Town and Country (March 1999) magazine’s Directory of Top Cosmetic Surgeons in the U.S., and repeatedly in Denver’s 5280 magazine as Denver’s best plastic surgeon.
Dr. Grossman is devoted to helping each of his patients achieve their desired goals. Together with his team of plastic surgery professionals, he focuses on the unique qualities of every patient he sees at his clinics.
Board certified aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon Philippe Angelo Capraro, MD, was invited to join Grossman Plastic Surgery at Rose Medical Center in Denver after completing fellowship training in aesthetic plastic surgery under the clinic's director, John A. Grossman, MD. A graduate of Catholic University of America, Dr. Capraro received his Masters degree in physiology from Georgetown University and earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine.
After completing postgraduate training in general surgery at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Dr. Capraro received specialized fellowship
training in breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery at the Hand and Plastic Surgery Centre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was there that he learned the SPAIR technique, a procedure which allows the breast reduction to be performed in such a way as to minimize skin scarring and maximize the overall cosmetic results.
Dr. Capraro has written and lectured extensively on breast reduction and reconstructive surgery. He recently presented four lectures in March 2000 at the prestigious National Venezuelan Congress of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Caracas, Venezuela. Additionally, he was asked to perform a live surgical demonstration of the SPAIR technique at the Venezuelan meeting.
