| About Dr. Glat |
Paul M. Glat is a native of New York City and spent his early years in White Plains, New York. He attended the Sorbonne, receiving a certificate in the French language and civilization prior to going to college at Princeton University. After graduating from Princeton Cum Laude in 1984, Dr. Glat attended medical school at New York University (NYU) serving as class president and graduating in 1988. Thereafter, he completed training in general surgery at NYU graduating in 1994. Dr. Glat then began his plastic surgery training at the Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at NYU, considered to be one of the top plastic surgery training programs in the world. Dr. Glat is Board Certified in General Surgery as well as Plastic Surgery. He completed his Plastic Surgery fellowship at NYU and Manhattan Eye and Ear hospital, where he trained with many of the most prominent Plastic Surgeons in the world. Dr. Glat is able to bring to Philadelphia his advanced training from New York City.
Dr. Glat then moved to the Philadelphia area to do a post graduate fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1996-1997. Dr. Glat remained in Philadelphia and became a member of the full-time faculty at MCP-Hahnemann University in 1997 serving as an assistant professor of surgery and heading the Division of Plastic Surgery at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. He continues to hold these academic positions as well as serving as Director of the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial programs at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and as Director of the Burn Unit.
Dr. Glat has general interests in aesthetic surgery of the face and breasts as well as in reconstructive surgery. Dr. Glat has presented at numerous national and international meetings as well as being published extensively on a wide variety of techniques in the plastic surgery literature. He has written several chapters in major plastic surgery textbooks and has published over 90 plastic surgery publications. Dr. Glat is recognized for his innovations and expertise in the cosmetic surgery of the face. Dr. Glat was recently interviewed by ABC News (2000) regarding plastic surgery. Dr. Glat was just voted as top plastic surgeon in the Philadelphia Magazine, May 2001 and May 2002 issue. Dr. Glat is certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Glat was recently interviewed by the Main Line Today magazine (October 2001) and was featured as one of the best Plastic Surgeons on the Main Line. With specialized training in the most advanced plastic surgery procedures, Dr. Glat strives to help his patients achieve a natural looking beauty.
