Dr. David Stoker is a board certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery. Over the past decade, he has performed thousands of these operations, utilizing the most effective techniques to improve the lives of his patients. From his undergraduate days at Stanford University to the present, he has earned many accolades and honors for his work.
While at Stanford, Dr. Stoker was awarded the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Major Grant for Undergraduate Research. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco Medical School as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and he was also awarded a first place prize by the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation for his USF-based plastic surgery research.
Dr. Stoker did his general surgery residency at New York University (NYU) Medical Center where he received the British Journal of Surgery Award for the highest score in the department on the National In-Service Training Exam. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU.
Dr. Stoker has gained national attention for his clinical research on power-assisted liposuction. He was chosen to serve as a plastic surgery expert on the Dr. Phil Show. His published works include a chapter on liposuction in a premier plastic surgery textbook as well as numerous journal articles on other plastic surgery procedures.
