About Dr. Vath

Dr. Steven Vath, Denver Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Steven Vath dedicates his professional life to the field of plastic surgery for several reasons. He finds the fundamental elements of the work of a plastic surgeon very rewarding: relating to a diversity of people and their desires, and then realistically matching up the best surgical plan with those patients' goals. He enjoys the interpersonal relationships he develops with his patients and looks forward to interacting with them every day. He feels passionate about both the artistic and meticulous aspects of plastic surgery technique and appreciates the opportunity to blend art with science in his craft.

Dr. Vath grew up in New Jersey and went to Tufts University just outside Boston, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then returned to New Jersey to attend Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (Rutgers Medical School). After medical school, he did a six year general surgery residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. He dedicated a year to surgical research focusing on infectious causes of death in the intensive care unit. This work led to presentations at national meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.

After finishing his surgical residency, Dr. Vath relocated to New Orleans, where he received plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the Louisiana State University Medical Center and Charity Hospital. He then decided to pursue further specialized training in cosmetic plastic surgery in Los Angeles, California. His cosmetic surgery fellowship, associated with the University of Southern California, is one of only a dozen in the country accredited by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Vath describes his goals for each patient this way: to achieve the best possible surgical results while minimizing recovery time. To make this happen, he blends classic surgical procedures proven safe and effective over decades with innovative, state-of-the art techniques.

Dr. Vath makes every attempt to ensure that patients do not feel rushed during their consultation. He understands that making decisions about plastic surgery is a difficult and intensely personal endeavor. He knows his patients have concerns that are private and sensitive and he respects those feelings. He listens carefully to his patients to make sure he understands their goals. He uses diagrams and photos to help patients envision the results they can expect. He takes time to answer all questions. Above all, through open lines of communication, he ensures his patients have an honest, realistic view of what plastic surgery can do for them.

It's Dr. Vath's experience that through an open doctor-patient relationship based on mutual respect and trust, most people who hope to improve their appearance discover that plastic surgery offers wonderful benefits. He feels it's his privilege to provide this care for his patients.

About Dr. Wolfe

Dr. Andrew Wolfe, Denver Cosmetic Surgeon According to Dr. Andrew Wolfe, he didn't choose plastic surgery as his specialty - it chose him. While pursuing his bachelor's degree at Cornell University in New York, he found himself keenly interested in the scientific and technical aspects of his studies. He changed his focus to pre-med and felt immediately at home. When he had the chance to become familiar with the field of plastic surgery, there was an instant fit. The breadth of the specialty, from reconstructive to cosmetic procedures, from surgery of the face to surgery of the body, was very appealing. So was the opportunity to apply his technical and interpersonal skills to assisting people in achieving their dreams of self-improvement.

After spending his youth in New York, Dr. Wolfe relocated to the Midwest to attend the Chicago Medical School. He was offered a spot in the honors program in pathology, which gave him the advantage of earning his M.D. and master's in pathology/wound healing at the same time. Dr. Wolfe was then accepted into a prestigious residency program at Georgetown University called the Integrated Program in Plastic Surgery. It's one of only a few in the nation seeking to advance the quality of plastic surgery training by giving residents focused experience on their specialty and decreasing time spent on other material.

While at Georgetown, Dr. Wolfe published a variety of articles on plastic surgery. He also received several honors including an invitation to join Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.

Identifying the need for more plastic surgeons in Colorado, Dr. Wolfe and his wife, Heidi, relocated to the Front Range area in 2001. They both appreciate the natural beauty of the state and the variety of outdoor activities available all year.

Now a Colorado plastic surgeon with several years in private practice, Dr. Wolfe serves the needs of his Denver cosmetic surgery patients with two key values in mind. He keeps up with the latest technology developments and new techniques in plastic surgery, offering them to Denver patients just as soon as he's satisfied they're safe and effective. He also strives to establish relationships with his patients that have the depth of trust and level of communication of true partnerships. That's the best way, Dr. Wolfe feels, to ensure not only a wonderful surgical result but a mutually-rewarding experience as well.

Today, Dr. Wolfe offers body contouring such as tummy tucks and power-assisted liposuction, facial cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty and facelift, and breast enhancement such as breast reduction and breast augmentation for his Denver patients. In consultation with him, his patients appreciate the time he takes to make sure they're fully informed about the procedure they have in mind, including the potential risks and complications. They also take note of the way Dr. Wolfe listens to ideas and concerns and explores all the alternatives with them at length. That's the physician-patient partnership in action.

Testimonials

Dear Dr. Vath,

Hi, I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU! For all that you've done for me! I know that my Tummy Tuck surgery was part of your "job," but I couldn't be happier with the results! Your care and concern, has been very professional and sincere and I so appreciate you and your office staff.

I never thought that I'd feel good about my body again. After seven children and lost of yo-yo dieting, the lap band surgery etcyou have helped make my life a lot more enjoyable and so again I'd like to say Thanks! And you were right; I am wearing things that I never in a million years thought I'd ever wear. I'm actually looking forward to the summer, when I can wear a bathing suit and not be embarrassed by extra skin on my stomach!

If you'd like to use me as a patient referral please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be more than happy to share my experience with anyone!

Thanks again and much success to you in the future!

Dear Dr. Wolfe,

Thank you for the amazing and incredibly unbelievable transformation you have made to my body. I am in awe of your skill. I don't even know if I can find the words to express how truly grateful I am. I have not had the opportunity to tell you in person and I would probably screw it up anyway. So, I'll just give you an idea of what's going on in two short months post-op.

During my fist couple of days at home, I spent a real good portion of it stoned out of my mind. Not always a bad way to spend a few afternoons. Then came the day when the "cling wrap" was removed - pretty exciting! Wow! Body parts actually stay suspended in mid-air! I went home and showed my daughters. I really wanted to show everyone but I did restrain myself.

Then came the day when all of my family went back to their lives and I was left to myself. I stood in front of my bathroom mirror and took my first real intense look at breasts. Even now as I recall that day I am overwhelmed with emotion. I stood there for the longest time and cried. I thanked God for such a lovely thing. I thanked you for doing such a beautiful job. I thanked my husband for loving me enough to know what I needed long before I even had a clue. I thanked the universe just because. You just happened to be the only one who hasn't heard the words - thank you.

Since I was 15 years old I have been ashamed of my breasts. Forever hiding them - they have been like a deformity to me. Undressing anywhere was horrifying. Gym class showers were like hell. I actually needed 4 years of P.E. credits when I left school because I chose not to attend class than to be so humiliated.

Here I am 30 years later - with something way too wonderful to comprehend. I bought a blue bra with tiny little straps and a two-piece swimsuit. These are things I've only dreamed about owning. I'm still way too critical of myself and unbelievably obsessive. I still see all my flaws in bright, vivid color and I'm sure I imagine them to be much larger than they truly are. But, now my loathing is gone. I can walk in the wind and not want to die. I can hold my head up without being disgraced. You can't even imagine. Thank you again.

Most gratefully yours.

Oh by the way, I work with a lot of middle age and older women who all wanted to have something done. I've been handing out your number like crazy - expect the phone calls. I could work on commission or just let me drive the car for 15 minutes.

Dr. Vath -

THANKS FOR THE LIFT!

You did a great job. I love my new "look" - it's already made a difference in my life.

I also want to compliment you and Dr. Wolfe on the environment you've created in your practice. People do make a difference. Debbie, Cheryl and Chris are all friendly, fun and professional. They and you made me feel "worthy" and comfortable throughout the whole process.

This was no the case in 2003 when I explored cosmetic surgery options with four other surgeons (all more experienced).

Best wishes for your continued success.

Dr. Vath, Cheryl, Chris, Liz & Diana,

Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face. Your support and kindness made me realize that I made the right decision. Even with all my calls of concern.

I'm extremely happy with my results and would send anyone your way! Thanks again, you have a great team and I hope you know how much I appreciate everything you have done.

See you in the Spring!

Dear Dr. Andrew Wolfe:

Hello. I am writing to tell you of the very positive experience I had in your office recently. I was in on July 29th for a breast augmentation consultation and I was extremely impressed by the attitude and concern you and your staff showed to me. I have been to two other doctors for the same kind of consultation, and I did not leave their offices' thinking "This is the doctor that is going to perform my surgery." I felt that way leaving your office. I was excited and positive about the experience, and the upcoming surgery.

While I realize that there is some amount of 'customer service' quality to your business, I left feeling that you take a more personal approach than business approach. I appreciate that, no matter how much of it is my own interpretation or not. It didn't sound like you had given that speech 8000 other times, or seen so many other patients. You were not put off by any of my questions or answers, and that is rare. Your staff, Diana in particular, was also very helpful in answering my questions, which I'm sure she has answered for others a million times.

I really want to thank you for your attention and time. I am hoping to have surgery this year (I actually wanted it by my birthday - September 24), I am just having some issues getting the finances all in order. I know that when I do get surgery, I would like to schedule it with you. Thank you again!

Laser bra with Dr. Vath - woohoo!!!!!

Hey everyone! I had my laser bra BR and FTT on May 6 with Dr. Vath in Denver. I've been traveling and somewhat lazy, so hopefully I'll post pictures soon. I just can't help but say that this man deserves to sit on top of the world with a crown on his head. He did such a miracle with my body. I can't tell you what this has done for me emotionally!! I feel like a woman again. He made is affordable, too, though money seems trivial after something like this (and I'm a tightwad normally). As soon as I stop staring at myself in the mirror, I'll take pix!! Thanks for being patient and so supportive.

If anyone is on the fence about this, please contact me. I bawled all the way to the airport coming home, and several times since. I haven't had a sad thought or a moment of regret, just gratitude that I can probably never express enough.

Take care!!

Flying to Denver to Dr. Vath for my laser bra breast reduction and tummy tuck was the best thing I've ever done. I look and feel like a new woman! He is not only an outstanding surgeon, just as I was promised, but he is a kind, caring person who made me feel great about myself. Grand Rapids, MI

Hi. I'm a mother of three. After breastfeeding my last child I went from size 38 C to size 36 AA. I find this very embarrassing. I decided to undergo a breast augmentation surgery. Dr. Vath answered all of my questions and did a fantastic job on the surgery. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed every step of the way. I walked into his office as a "mom" but I walked out as a "hot mom." I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I feel happy, confident again and forever grateful. Truly this has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've known Dr. Vath for several months. He is radiant, nurturing and extremely gifted physician. I would recommend him very highly to anyone.
